What are the obligations of holding the Certificate of Commitment to Change?

When a company or organisation applies to hold a Certificate of Commitment to Change they are acknowledging the health damaging effects of secondhand smoking and are agreeing with the following conditions:

  • Companies / organisations which apply for the certificate must be working towards or planning to work towards implementing an effective no-smoking policy in the forthcoming 12-months
  • The planned no-smoking policy must meet the criteria specified for either the Gold or Silver Award

Please Note:

  • The certificate will be dated one-week after the date the application is processed
  • It will be valid for a 12-month period which will be specified on the certificate
  • It is not renewable
