Basingstoke Irish pub bans smoking

A new Irish bar has decided to ban smoking - to make it more authentic
for customers.

The Irish republic introduced a smoking ban in pubs, restaurants and
other workplaces at the end of March.

The owners of McCarthy's Bar in Church Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire,
say they are just providing an alternative to the non-smoking
majority.
